Meet the Staff: Krishna Kulkarni

Meet the Staff: Krishna Kulkarni

More than 100 staff members work in the Division of the Humanities. We'll introduce you to our staff in this continuing series.

Krishna Kulkarni
Outreach Coordinator
Center for Middle Eastern Studies

What do you like most about your job?
I always enjoy seeing how students and teachers engage with the rich cultural and intellectual heritage of the Middle East & North Africa through art, music, and other media.

What was the last good book you read?
Jane Goodall’s In the Shadow of Man, in which she describes her early work with chimpanzees in the Gombe Stream National Park of Tanzania.

You might work with me if ...
… you need information, recommendations, educational materials, and/or event partnerships relating to the Middle East & North Africa.

Since it is October, what is your favorite scary movie?
Pan’s Labyrinth is my favorite scary movie. I think the director, Guillermo de Toro, is a master storyteller and has a unique way of presenting horror and beauty in parallel within fantasy contexts. His version of Hellboy is a close second.
