Prof. Steven Collins, a world-renowned scholar of Buddhism and its associated Pali language, passed away from natural causes Feb. 15, while leading a seminar in New Zealand. He was 66.

An Interdisciplinary Approach to Climate Change
Hervé Reculeau, Assistant Professor in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, answered a few questions about "Coping with Changing Climates" a collaborative project exploring climate change and its effect on human societies. "Coping with Changing Climates" was recently awarded a grant through the Humanities Without Walls Consortium which is funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
Michèle Lowrie and Claudia Brittenham Receive NEH Fellowships
Two scholars from the Division of the Humanities, Michèle Lowrie and Claudia Brittenham, have been awarded fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities to support their research in the 2018–19 academic year.
