Humanities Day

Humanities Day

Humanities Day is an annual event at the University to share a snapshot of leading humanities research in the division with our alumni, friends, and larger public community. Each fall, Humanities Day features dozens of lectures, exhibits, and tours. Scholars from virtually every department in the Division present work from their areas of expertise and interact with our larger community. Tours of the architectural and artistic centers on campus make the event a delight for the intellect and the imagination.

Humanities Day 2025 will take place October 2025 and commemorates the power of art, literature, philosophy, music, linguistics, and languages. Visit the Humanities Day website for more information. Registration will open in late summer.

Visit our Humanities Day archives! Past programs and schedules available from 2005.

Recordings of selected Humanities Day presentations are available on the Division's YouTube channel.
