Director of Fototeca, Hemeroteca y Biblioteca Mario Vázquez Raña

Marina Vázquez Ramos is an art historian who specializes in modern Mexican art. She holds a BA and MA from Universidad Iberoamericana and a PhD (in Art History) from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Her dissertation focused on the Picasso (1944) exhibition in Mexico City as an example of soft power during World War II. She is a professor, researcher and curator for exhibitions and publications in Mexico and abroad. Some of her texts have been translated in German, English, Chinese and French. She was invited as a collaborator on a Frida Kahlo book that is currently in the printing process. She has served as the Deputy Director of Mexico's Museo de Arte Moderno (2000–2006) and is currently the Director of Fototeca, Hemeroteca y Biblioteca Mario Vázquez Raña.
