DescriptionIn this webinar, Danya Qato (University of Maryland, Baltimore) will discuss the impact of Covid-19 on health in Gaza, Palestine, and explore the role long-standing policies and laws have had on prohibiting access to essential drugs in Palestine more broadly.

Speaker: Danya M. Qato, PharmD, MPH, PhD, is assistant professor and graduate program director at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, with appointments in the School of Pharmacy and School of Medicine. She is an epidemiologist, health services researcher, and pharmacist and in the 2015–16 academic year, was a Fulbright Scholar based at the Institute of Community and Public Health of Birzeit University in Palestine. Dr. Qato's research, teaching, and advocacy center on access to essential medicines and global health equity.
