Description | "The Role of Religion in Healing the Liberal-Conservative Divide: Lessons from Israel" will be a panel discussion featuring: Tehila Friedman, a member of the Israeli Knesset (Blue and White Party) and former chair of Ne'emanei Torah va'Avodah, a modern Orthodox movement promoting pluralism and democracy; and Ofer Zalzberg, director of the Middle East Program at the Herbert C. Kelman Institute, an Ussher PhD Fellow at Trinity College, Dublin, and formerly a senior analyst in the Crisis Group's Middle East Program. The discussion will be moderated by David Barak-Gorodetsky, Israel Institute Visiting Fellow at the University of Chicago Divinity School.
