|Description||Please join the Civic Knowledge Project this coming Saturday, Feb. 15th, from 2-4 pm at the Timuel D. Black Edible Arts Garden, located in the back patio area of 5710 S. Woodlawn! We will be meeting in the community room by the garden for a discussion of the garden's significance, environmentally and politically, and Prof. Black himself will be there to participate in the discussion! You will also meet some amazing urban gardeners who, like Prof. Black, are devoting their lives to activism to make this world a better place. Light snacks will be served, and all are welcome. No RSVP is required, please just come along. Prof. Black, a UChicago alum who worked with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., is over 101 years old, but he keeps on keeping on. Hope to see you on Saturday! |
