DescriptionThe colloquium is a forum for free, non-hierarchical exchange of ideas among all members of the Department of Comparative Literature.

Rana Choi will be talking about her concurrent book projects, Erich Auerbach and His Interlocutors, a study of his methodology using a comparative approach, and a second book, Shakespeare's Analytic Figurations, that draws on conclusions from the first book and applies them to readings of Shakespeare.

Cody Jones will be talking about Anthropocene Studies through the lens of theory-
fiction, and how it differs from philosophical fiction, focusing on works by Reza
Negarestani, Joanna Demers, and the neofascist Nick Land.
