Chicago Maya presents the revised audio and text materials of Spoken Quiché (Maya) and Spoken Yucatec Maya in digital format. They were produced under the supervision of Professor McQuown, who has re-edited the materials for this edition. The various applications within the Chicago Maya program permit the users to see the text on the computer screen, hear the corresponding audio, and engage in listen-repeat-compare exercises. The text files may be printed out, and the sound files may be downloaded to any audio medium. In addition, an "editor" feature permits the user to add, delete and change the text files as well as combine them with sound files. Currently, Lessons 1-8 of the Quiché (6 CD-ROMs) and Lessons 1-12 of the Yucatec Maya (8 CD-ROMs) are available.

System requirement:
- Mac II or more recent machine with at least 8MB memory (Power PC Mac --- may need at least 12MB memory).
