FRANKE INSTITUTE PROGRAMS AND AWARDS:

DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS IN THE HUMANITIES

Working with the administration of the Humanities Division, the Institute funds four outstanding University of Chicago graduate students in the Humanities for a year of dissertation writing. These graduate students are given space and other forms of logistical support while in residence at the Institute, and they participate in the activities of the Faculty Fellowship Program. These Fellows are selected through the nomination process for Whiting Fellowships in the Humanities.
