The Chicago Linguistic Society is happy to announce the new CLS travel grant!

This grant is available to all registered graduate students in the University of Chicago Department of Linguistics presenting a paper or poster at a conference or workshop. The award can be used once per academic year in combination with any other sources of travel funding to cover costs associated with travel to and from the conference, conference fees, as well as accommodations. Please note that the CLS travel fund is not meant to replace other sources of funding available to students, but as an additional resource to provide added opportunities to graduate students in the department.

Funding begins with the Spring Quarter, 2009. Contact a CLS officer for more details. You may pick up your application in the CLS office in room 314A of Classics.
