Chicago boasts a wide array of accommodations for all tastes and budgets. The University of Chicago is located in the Hyde Park neighborhood on the city's South Side. There are several options within walking distance of the University and this year's conference location, Ida Noyes Hall.

Ramada Inn Lake Shore

We are pleased to feature the Ramada Inn Lake Shore as our main conference hotel. The details for the rooms we have reserved with the Ramada are as follows:

  • Double (2 beds) for $107.10/night (Wed, Sat), $116/night (Thurs), $125.10/night (Fri), tax included, plus an additional $10 per person after the second person.
  • Rooms are reserved for Weds. (4/6), Thurs. (4/7), Fri. (4/8), and Sat. (4/9) nights.
  • Check-in time is 3:00 P.M. Check-out time is 12 noon.
  • A $30 incidental deposit is required per room at check-in for phones, movies, remote controls, etc., to be refunded, if not used, at check-out. This deposit is to be paid with cash or credit card.
  • IMPORTANT: Reservations must be made by Monday, March 21, 2011

    Graduate students

    Graduate students presenting at the conference may contact us to request a crash space with one of the graduate students at the University of Chicago. Spaces are extremely limited, so e-mail us at chicagolinguisticsociety at gmail.com, and we will place you on the priority list. Crash space will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
