As the Dean's Suite Office Assistant, I am responsible for greeting the myriad of visitors to the suite, and I am the first face seen when you walk in the door. In addition to being receptionist, I also support the rest of the office staff, particularly serving as backup to Lisa Westerfield in her work with Dean Roth. Among other things my duties include managing the flow of paper within our offices, including faculty appointments; ensuring that our filing is up to date; processing reimbursements for faculty, staff, and the Dean; and maintaining the suite so that it is a welcoming place for our many guests.

Before returning to the University and joining the Humanities Division staff, I was the Executive Assistant to the CEO of a human resources consulting firm in downtown Chicago. This provided me with excellent training for my current position, and I am glad to be out of the corporate world and back in an academic environment. In my free time, I still maintain a strong interest in my areas of study during my time here as an undergrad, as well as an ongoing passion for improvisational comedy.
