Committee on Cinema and Media Studies
The members of the Committee on Cinema and Media Studies are leading scholars in the field. They have an active academic publishing record, and enjoy outstanding reputations both in this country and abroad. In early cinema in particular, which has been one of the most exciting and innovative areas in cinema studies over the past two decades, Chicago is now considered the major center of research and debate.

Resource Faculty
In addition to the Committee Members, there is a formidable group of Resource Faculty in a wide range of disciplines and areas--anthropology and history, art, music and theater, gender studies, African-American studies and Jewish studies, South Asian and East-Asian area studies--whose courses and expertise complement and contextualize the study of film.
