Mexican Futures: Neoliberalism and Political Imagination

Featuring

Humberto Beck
El Colegio de México

Rafael Lemus
California State University, Fresno

In their co-edited book, El futuro es hoy: Ideas radicales para México, Rafael Lemus and Humberto Beck propose a new political vision for Mexico that is radically different from the neoliberal version that predominated for more than three decades, as well as tools to begin building it. The work explores radical democracy, restorative justice, the end of patriarchy, legalization of all drugs, equal opportunities, post-capitalist society, gender equality, self-management of indigenous communities, environmental resilience policies, and much more.

Lunch will be provided for those who register in advance.
