Description | The colloquium is a forum for free, non-hierarchical exchange of ideas among all members of the Department of Comparative Literature. Olga Solovieva will be talking about diachronic comparison in her recent book, Christ’s Subversive Body. Ana Ilievska will be talking about some shared themes of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein (1818, 1831) and Carlo Collodi's Pinocchio (1881) with regard to concepts of technology, nature, and the (non-)human as they relate to the 19th-century novel. |
