David Getsy examines the body as material, tool, and subject in the work of Auguste Rodin and Bruce Nauman, paying particular attention to how these two artists have harnessed the expressive quality of the human form in radically different ways.
David Getsy is the Goldabelle McComb Finn Distinguished Professor of Art History at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
