Join us for the first lecture in a newly established series in memory of the life and work of our colleague and friend, Alison Winter (1965-2016), Professor of History, the Conceptual and Historical Studies of Science and the College, and Director of the Nicholson Center for British Studies
Simon Schaffer, Professor of History of Science, University of Cambridge was trained in natural sciences and the history of science at the universities of Cambridge and Harvard. He was Lecturer in History of Science at Imperial College London between 1981 and 1984 before joining the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at Cambridge where he is now Professor of History of Science.
