Four artists from the University of Chicago will play important roles at the 2014 Whitney Biennial. Opening March 7th at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, the major contemporary art event will feature Anthony Elms, MFA’95, as one of the three co-curators for the finale exhibit. Elms spoke with the New York Times about the honor of curating at the Biennial and previewed some of the work in his show.
In addition, Catherine Sullivan, associate professor of Visual Arts, and DoVA alumni Valerie Snobeck, MFA’08 will exhibit their collaborative installation while Elms’ show includes an installation by Marc Fischer, MFA’95.
