The Kestnbaum Family Cultural Activities Fund provides support for an annual program of cultural activity in the Division of the Humanities. Past programming has included conferences, performances, lectures, and readings. For the past five years, the programming has included a writer-in-residence program through the Committee on Creative Writing at Chicago. The Kestnbaum Writer-in-Residence brings writers of national and international prominence to the University, to honor the distinguished writers who are teaching and have taught at Chicago, to showcase the University's newly formed programs in creative writing, and to provide a workshop for writings in progress.
